Illustrator School Visit
This visit uses an ABC picture book to support early literacy skills such as letter recognition, beginning sounds, descriptive words, and listening and speaking. The session is hands on, movement friendly, and designed to keep young learners engaged.
Pre-K /First Grade classroom visit may include:
• Exploring letters and sounds using animals from the book
• Saying and repeating alliterative phrases with animal names and describing words
• A simple behind the scenes look at how illustrations are made, from sketch to a finished page
• A live drawing demonstration using basic shapes• A short, guided art activity where students create an animal picture
• Opportunities for students to ask questions and share ideasThe visit is developmentally appropriate for Pre-K, highly interactive, and designed to support early childhood literacy while encouraging creativity and confidence.
